NHLは現地15日昼、選手会との協議が不調に終わり、新たなCBAが締結できなかったことを発表。当日で期限の切れる労使協定の終了に伴い、キャンプの開催を延期するなどのリリースが各チームから出ています。
NPBの問題もありますが、Sept.9付のリーグ側のコメントに、以下のような記載があります。
Bill Daly – NHL Cheif Legal Officer.
"Even under the Union’s modeling and projections, which we do not agree with or accept, more than half of our Clubs would still lose money and nearly a third of the Clubs would still lose in excess of $10 million each season.
Nothing more clearly demonstrates the Union’s unwillingness to acknowledge or meaningfully address this League’s problems than this recycled proposal."

…日本の野球ファンには「たった11億円」の損失ですが。
いずれにせよ、場合によって今シーズン全体の開催すら危ぶむ声が出ているNHL。問題は長期化しそうです。しかし向こうはリーグも選手会も、具体的な情報提供が多くうらやましく思います。
