今日は地方選の投票日。小生のところでも「信任投票」のようなものがありますが、当然投票所には向かいます…「不信任」をコールするために。
1984年のこの曲は政治家のTV露出を皮肉っているとも言えますが、このころにはNHKの討論番組に出演するのが関の山だった政治家達も、大衆（というよりは愚衆）向けのポーズばかり取ることが目立ち、この世界が現実化という見方も出来ます。そして本質隠し…。東京では自民党の支持率低下に政府税調の答申の影響が出ているようですが、その消火に「口先介入」ということもありましたっけ。あ、東京と言えば都知事自身がこの世界ですね。
当時の時代を感じるダンスナンバーで、シンセサイザーも「シンセの音」。でもそれが安っぽくて良い味が出ています。2000年にFrankie Goes To Hollywoodのメンバー Peter Gillと このバンドのPaul Fishman(Key)が組んでのリリースがあったなんて知りませんでした…。
FGTHも懐かしいですね…、’Relax’なんて平気でプライムタイムのテレビで流れていますけど、歌詞がね…(TB- しゃけの引き出し)、"Ｔouch By Myself"がさわやかな朝の新宿に流れることなど、此の国は本当に「平和」ですね。
